National AAF Award for Photo Series on  Stopping the Death of Bonneville, a National Historic Landmark. “Save The Salt”

My personal projects are as important to me as my commercial work and for several years I have been dedicating my time on a photographic campaign, helping to bring awareness and raise funding to curb the death of a Historic National Monument, the Bonneville Salt Flats.
The potash mining industry has been removing salt for over 7 decades and the salt flats surface that was once 7 feet in thickness, is now down to only inches. Its 100,000 acres has shrunk to under 30,000 and the flats have been designated as an "Area of Critical Environmental Concern". The Bonneville Salt Flats are in dire need of assistance, to prevent its further destruction by man.
The images that I've created for the "Save The Salt" project, were recently entered into the American Advertising Awards, the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries from local ad club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising and my mission is to help "Save The Salt".
I have donated the photographs and the ad campaign to the Save The Salt Organization, in hopes that they will attract more attention to raise funding for the work needed to help save this amazing landmark. I would like to know that the Bonneville Salt Flats will still be around, for our children's, children to enjoy.
