Wow, what an opportunity to work with some amazing musicians, actual icons of the industry, performing at the LOCKN' music festival in Virginia. It was a 4-day festival with a crazy lineup from Keller Williams, Grace Potter, Willie Nelson, Widespread Panic, Steve Winwood, Wilco, Tom Petty, the Allman Brothers and really, it kept on going. Shows started at 12:00 noon and went on until 4:00 AM.
It was the largest music festival of the century, a real Woodstock event, that was brilliantly choreographed by the promoters. It all happened on multiple stages, over the 4800 acre arena, in beautiful central Virginia. I am so fortunate that my brother knows enough people, in the music industry, to get me involved as one of their photographers.
My focus was not just on stage, it was the spectators that brought the real energy to the event.
It was an intense experience, with little sleep for anyone but more music than I've ever experienced at one venue.
Thanks Bro for the best music event of the century.
